Description
Test systems, and scripts in general, have no clean way to leave a mark in a device's system log. Today this means logging in over SSH and running logger(1), which is clumsy on a system with NETCONF/RESTCONF.

This feature request is primarily for the test servers, but possibly handy for other use-cases as well.
