👋 About Me

Hi, I'm Geonwoo Kim, an AI Developer and Undergraduate Researcher.

My main research interests lie in End-to-End Autonomous Driving, Computer Vision, and Embodied AI, with a particular focus on the connection between perception and action.

I am interested not only in improving model performance, but also in understanding what actually makes autonomous driving systems difficult — from architectural bottlenecks and challenging driving scenarios to inefficient or unnecessarily complex design choices. I especially enjoy exploring simple and effective architectures, and studying how complex systems can be reduced to the essential components that truly matter.

Currently, as a member of the RILS E2E AD Team, I work on practical autonomous driving problems ranging from data pipelines and model architectures to challenging scenario analysis. I also participate in hands-on autonomous driving projects and competitions, including scale-car autonomous driving challenges, where ideas have to survive outside controlled experiments.

I enjoy turning research ideas into working systems, reproducing papers, identifying their limitations, and exploring what can be simplified or improved.

Ultimately, I believe that many complicated problems eventually converge toward simple principles and simple solutions — and much of my research is driven by the search for that simplicity.
