[feature request / question] custom schedulers ?

Hey, i see that there's support for using the back off scheduler, is there any convenient way to define a new custom scheduler? either in python directly or in rust to then be used in python?

There is currently but would be open to designing a way, for either Python and/or Rust. It would be really cool in Python to be able to do it, since we now can do custom cost models in Python... But would just have to see how to expose the interface from Rust in Python and expose all the right data.

If you wanted to take a crack at implementing that I am happy to review or give feedback.
