AOO still carries a standalone StAX 1.2.0 source tree even though StAX
has been part of Java SE since Java 6 and is in the java.xml module today.
Modern Java exposes them through;
module java.xml
javax.xml.stream
javax.xml.stream.events
javax.xml.stream.util
StaX was a dependency for Saxon, but once the corresponding jar is removed,
the build goes on fine.
