Please confirm the following.
What browsers are you seeing the problem on?
Chrome (including Arc, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi)
Describe the bug
Browser navigation on Modrinth seems to "rewrite history" in some contexts, causing unexpected backward navigation based on previous locations.
Steps to reproduce
- Go to the homepage
- Scroll to the bottom, click on a news post
- Click on an author of that post
- Go back (click Back in your browser or use a mouse/keyboard shortcut)
- The page is now the homepage, not the previously-visited news post
Expected behavior
Locations should follow the replacement of URL locations exactly, forwards and backwards. This harms accessibility greatly and this can even occur when browsing mods with a complex filter, causing you to have to set up the filter again. I haven't been able to repro this exact case but it has happened enough to bring me here. I hope the above steps illuminate enough of the problem to fix the root cause.
