Golang update to 1.17

Hi there! Go 1.17 was just released as stable, it appears this project is still using 1.15. There are some performance improvement and other fixed in the intervening released, can we get this updated? It looks like #338 brings it up to 1.16 but it would be nice to go to the new stable.

Does there have any plan to upgrade to v1.17? Or set the apparent version name, ex : g1.17.
