I tested the Example app on iOS 9.2.1 (iPhone 5) and it worked fine. But, when I ran it on iOS 8.1 (iPhone 6), there seemed to be a glitch when the launch screen shows up.
That is, the launch screen seemed to disappear for a fraction of second before the modal view controller shows up.
