Are there any plans to implement bedrock knowledge base (RAG) integration?

Currently, knowledge bases can be used with the "Tool Use" functionality. Does this meet your needs?

Knowledge base support is available in aws-sdk-bedrock-agent-runtime (currently 0.11.0, requires Python 3.12+). It has retrieve, retrieve_and_generate, and retrieve_and_generate_stream. I tested all three against a live knowledge base and they return chunks, citations, and streamed events. The release landed in June 2026. Please let us know if this covers your use case.
