Integration with BlenderBIM Add-on

I'd like to integrate this with https://blenderbim.org/ which already uses IfcOpenShell. To allow people to export IFCJSON format from Blender :)

I see the code is GPL. As it is a tiny script library, would this be more appropriate as LGPL? I'm not sure what the rationale is.

Currently BlenderBIM Add-on is part of IfcOpenShell which is LGPL, and so I think (I am not a lawyer) I can't use it unless i upgrade the BlenderBIM Add-on to be GPL. Which I don't mind, and is probably a good thing... except that most CAD applications are GPLv2, and this is...v3?

Licenses give me a headache. We're all FOSS here, so can I use your code (and modify it to be tailored to BlenderBIM Add-on) and you won't sue me? :)

Really cool that you want to look into this!
Mind that it's still very much a proof of concept and will certainly change. Nothing is definitive yet.
I will check if I can change the license into LGPL or MIT so that it's more compatible.
And no I won't sue you :-D

Just an update that @Jesusbill has implemented support in the BlenderBIM Add-on to export IFCJSON format! Woohoo! IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell#839
